Junior Consultant for Construction Management
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Provide project management support for projects, including construction, validation, engineering, and project controls. Assist in planning, scheduling, executing, and monitoring internal and external projects, ensuring timely and high-quality. Review and analyze extensive construction documentation specific to pharmaceutical facility requirements, including detailed blueprints, technical specifications, and formal change orders. Apply data-driven decision making to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and reporting activities. Support client project extensions by scoping discussions, identifying additional improvement opportunities, and helping develop follow-up plans. Plan and support internal team activities and project extensions. Actively engage in conflict resolution with a solution-focused mindset to ensure smooth project execution. Foster collaboration and brainstorm innovative ideas with team members to improve project outcomes and processes.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Construction Project Manager, Civil Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: Direct experience in project management within the construction industry; Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning, schedule & resource management, and risk & safety management; Safety training, including OSHA 10 and 30 certifications; General engineering practices; Experience managing construction projects, along with documentation through digital platforms, such as EIDA, Primavera P6, or Bluebeam; and Technical proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and Smartsheet. Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification or working towards certification and able to obtain within 24 months of hire date.
