Senior Consultant - Emendo Implementation

Picture your typical week: on Monday you’re on-site at a pharmaceutical client, leading a cross-functional team through a critical MES go-live. Why We’re Hiring Now

We paused hiring over the past year to be deliberate about the team we build next. The consulting market in Denmark has tightened, and our clients have changed how they buy: they want fewer consultants with more experience, people who can walk into a complex situation and show measurable progress within weeks, not months. We are now making a small number of senior hires — each one matters, and we are taking the time to find the right people. 


About Emendo 

Emendo is a 200-person consultancy built by people who used to sit on the client side — running transformation programmes inside pharma before deciding to do it for a living. The Role 

You will lead IT/OT transformation engagements for clients in pharma and regulated industries — operating at the intersection of technology, business process, and organisational change. You are expected to create measurable impact from the outset, build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, and identify opportunities to expand Emendo’s footprint within your accounts. At Emendo, seniority means more than years served: it means sound judgement in ambiguity, credibility with demanding stakeholders, and the willingness to raise the standard of the whole team. 


What You Will Do

  • Lead client engagements on-site, owning delivery of IT/OT implementations across enterprise, operations management, process control, and process equipment layers 
  • Drive measurable progress in short cycles — the kind your client’s leadership can point to in a steering committee: cost reduced, lead time shortened, risk closed out 
  • Manage project governance, solution architecture alignment, and validation concepts within complex, multi-stakeholder environments 
  • Shape how Emendo works — contribute to our methods, package what you learn into repeatable offerings and case studies, and use AI tools to deliver faster without cutting corners 
  • Build lasting client relationships — become a trusted partner to your stakeholders, spot opportunities for follow-on work, and contribute to Emendo’s business development by turning strong delivery into new engagements 
  • Apply Observe, Think, Improve as your foundation — and mentor junior colleagues to do the same 


What It Takes 

Must-Have Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related discipline  
  • 6–10+ years of hands-on delivery experience in IT/OT project management, product ownership, or solution implementation — ideally within pharma or other regulated industries, though strong candidates from adjacent sectors are welcome 
  • Track record of delivering quantifiable business outcomes (cost reduction, lead-time improvement, risk mitigation) — not just on-time/on-budget projects 
  • Strong command of project governance, stakeholder management, and the ability to engage credibly with C-suite and senior client leadership 
  • Deep understanding of at least one area: enterprise systems (ERP/MES), process control, IT–OT convergence, or value chain technology 
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; Danish skills are strongly preferred, or a commitment to learn 
  • Willingness to work on-site at client locations in Denmark and occasionally internationally 


Nice to have — but not required 

None of the following are dealbreakers. If you tick even one or two, it tells us you will ramp up faster — but we have seen great consultants arrive without any of them and build the expertise here. 

  • Experience with GxP compliance, computer system validation (CSV/CSA), or regulatory frameworks in life sciences
  • Familiarity with AI/automation tools applied to enterprise transformation or operational settings 
  • Background in operational excellence, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies 
  • Experience working across multiple sites or geographies in global transformation programmes 
  • Comfort with outcome-based or fixed-price engagement models

This role is probably not for you if: 

  • You prefer purely advisory work with limited implementation responsibility. 
  • You work best with narrow ownership and very clear boundaries. 
  • You have strong technical exposure but limited experience leading cross-functional change.
