Lean Improvement Consultant

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biopharmaceutical Technology, Life Sciences, Lean Manufacturing, or a relevant field
• Four years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Manufacturing Industry
• Experience leading a small team comprised of colleagues and client representatives
• Proficient with MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in lean implementation
• Experience managing complex projects
• Experience working in a GMP environment
• Experience tracking and reporting project performance to leadership
• Skilled in Smartsheet or similar project management platform
• Master’s degree

Responsibilities

Tasks vary based on the client and project but may include the following:

• Responsible for implementing improvements on the line
• Analyze and represent data to the shop floor team as well as summarize to upper management
• Implementation of Lean methodologies
• Facilitate team decision-making meetings
• Lead client workshops
• Develop executive leadership presentations
• Provide direction to junior consultants and consultants to ensure they are providing the most significant value to the client
• Establish and maintain a relationship with the client to ensure Emendo Inc continues to provide best-in-class service
• Work with key stakeholders at the client site to determine Emendo Inc resource needs for numerous tasks and projects.

About you

• You have documented experience within operations management, consulting or project management.
• You have a successful track record of implementing lasting solutions, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• You are analytical, systematic and believe that “data talks”
• You are an eager learner not afraid of the unknown
• You have practical experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma.
• You are passionate, empathetic and not afraid to “get your hands dirty” on site.
• You are perceived as a good communicator capable of conveying information across all organizational layers from operators on the shop floor to executive management

Emendo Inc. is based in Raleigh, NC, but serves clients throughout the USA. Therefore, travel can be expected occasionally depending on the needs of the client.  We’re currently looking for applicants in to live in the following locations:
